KFC opens new branch in Worksop and creates 100 new jobs

A new branch of fast food giant KFC has opened in Worksop, creating new jobs for the area.

The chain's new store on Harland Way opened on Friday, September 24 and the company said the opening of the restaurant will result in the creation of 100 jobs.

The restaurant will open with drive-thru, dine-in and click and collect services.

Deliveries are not yet available from the new store but the franchise runners have said it will be coming soon.

The new restaurant has several Covid measures in place, including extended hygiene procedures, Perspex screens, gloves and designated kitchen zones.

Customers will also be encouraged to use contactless payment.

Carolann Denne, of QFM Group, the franchise business that will run the branch, said: The opening of this new restaurant leaves no doubt about our commitment to the East Midlands.

"We know it’s been a difficult year but what better way to introduce ourselves to the area than by bringing our iconic fried chicken. We’re excited to be at the fryers cooking up all our fans’ favourites from today.”
