KFC 'not giving people food' after they've ordered and paid

With more food delivery options than ever before, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to getting a takeaway.

While KFC may not be the healthiest restaurant option, sometimes you just need a little pick-me-up from the Colonel.

You know what you're getting from KFC - or at least you expect to.

But a number of disgruntled - and hungry - Just Eat customers say their orders from the KFC on Eastbank Street in Southport simply never arrived.

A long list of others say their orders were missing items.

There are some recent good reviews among the bad, and the fast food restaurant actually boasts a 4.5/6 star rating on Just Eat.

But in just over a month, seven people complained of not receiving their food from the restaurant.

One reviewer, called Chad, wrote: "Food never came! Said it was delivered but never came. I want a full refund."

Another, named Carla, said: "Our second order came, three hours late. The first one never turned up."

On July 1, a reviewer called Reece wrote: "My order says delivered but didn't even arrive?"

In the same time period, some twenty people said their orders had items missing- including fries, gravy, and even entire meals.

On July 3, a reviewer named Emma said: "Missed food off the order and the restaurant were not prepared to resolve the issue, meaning my little boy was without food and I had to order from elsewhere!"

Another disappointed diner wrote: "Food arrived piping hot, but some of the order was missing.

"We didn't receive any chips. Always something missing from this restaurant and never a refund or apology!"

Other reviewers said they were given incorrect items, while another said his chips were "the worst he had ever had".

Just Eat says it wants all customers to have a positive experience when ordering food online.

Their spokeswoman told the ECHO : "Whenever we are made aware of anything that falls below the standards that we expect, we will always investigate and take action as appropriate."

A KFC spokesperson echoed this, saying: “We’re sorry to hear that some of our guests haven’t been happy with their order at KFC Eastbank Street, that’s the last thing we want!

"We’d love them to get in touch directly through Just Eat or with our Care Squad about their order, so we can make things right.”
