Popular fast food chain KFC is testing out vegan-friendly chicken nuggets and wings.
The trail is being carried out in the US, and if it's successful the new menu options will be rolled out worldwide.
The move comes after KFC launched a vegan chicken burger, in selected UK chains, back in June.
Its burger is made with a Quorn patty coated in breadcrumbs, lettuce, vegan mayo, and a poppy seed bread bun.
KFC's nuggets are available in a branch in Atlanta from today, Tuesday, August 27.
The fried chicken experts announced the news on its Twitter page, with a picture of the new treats and a caption reading: "It’s Kentucky Fried Chicken but it’s made with @BeyondMeat.
"It’s confusing, but it’s also delicious. Feast on these Kentucky Fried miracles tomorrow while they last at KFC in Atlanta, Georgia."
The nuggets have been created in collaboration with vegan food producer, Beyond Meat.
Beyond Meat is also responsible for vegan-friendly menu items at other US fast food chains, such as Carl's Jr. and Del Taco.
The plant-based chicken wings will also be tested out soon, although a. exact date is yet to be confirmed.
The fried chicken chain's vegan wings and nuggets will be sold in green boxes, as opposed to its trademark red ones.
Hopefully, the new menu items will be available in the UK soon.
