KFC drive-thru reopens in Kilmarnock as restaurant overhaul continues

KFC's drive-thru has reopened to the public as a huge overhaul of the fast-food venue continues.

The Kilmarnock restaurant has re-started collections this week with progress continuing on a plush makeover.

The Queen's Drive eaterie has been closed for a number of weeks while extensive renovation work is carried out.

The actual restaurant is still closed for sit-in customers.

The Colonel announced at the end of September that the venue would be closed to extend the drive-thru and seating capacity.

KFC told Ayrshire Live a few months ago: "Fear not Kilmarnock!

"We’re giving our restaurant a little TLC and a well-deserved makeover. We’ll be closed for a few weeks to extend our drive-thru lane and seating capacity so even more fans can get their fried chicken fix."

And fried chicken chiefs issued an apology to the town in October after spelling Kilmarnock wrong on a social media advert.
