A KFC customer has hit out at the fast food firm after saying she saw some members of staff without protective masks or gloves.
The customer, who did not wish to be named, went to the chicken chain's restaurant at Kingswood Retail Park in Hull, East Yorkshire, on Saturday night [May 16], the Hull Daily Mail reports.
As she was handed her food, she said she noticed a number of workers not wearing face masks and a couple without gloves.
The customer was also taken aback by the fact she said staff members were in close proximity to each other whilst lacking personal protective equipment.

She said: “The girl who handed me the food, bless her, was really upset.
“She was trying to give me my food tray without spilling it everywhere and the Pepsi nearly toppled because they are not allowed to have any contact with customers.
“She was really trying to keep herself safe but one of her colleagues was right behind her talking to her.
“They are right in each other’s faces talking and had no masks on and two staff members didn’t even have gloves.
“I said this to the girl and all she said was that the only option was to quit.”

Huge queues formed outside KFC branches across the country last week after drive-thru services reopened.
However, the anonymous customer said she felt KFC should remain closed if it “can’t keep staff safe”.
She said: “I feel sorry for them. It is quite upsetting to see that people just are not bothered.
“All of them staff, when they are not work, you wonder what they are doing. They are putting each other at risk.
“Personally, they shouldn’t be open. If they can’t keep them safe they shouldn’t be open. I don’t think anywhere should be if they can’t keep staff safe.”
The fast food giant said it had "stringent hygiene and social distancing measures in place".
A KFC spokesman said: “We’ve been really focused on reopening our
restaurants responsibly, with stringent hygiene and social distancing measures in place. Our Kingswood restaurant in Hull is no exception.
"Any of our team members who are packing and handling orders must wear gloves.
"Those who are working elsewhere in the kitchen aren’t required to wear them - but we do insist all of our team members must also follow our strict regular handwashing and hand sanitising procedures.
"The wellbeing of our teams and guests is our top priority.
"We’ve made face masks available for our teams, but it’s up to individuals if they wish to wear them.”
