KFC confirm MDMA is not part of famous chicken recipe

KFC have been forced to deny that a psychoactive drug has anything to do with their famous fast-food recipe.

The fried chicken chain jokingly confirmed that MDMA is not part of their chicken recipe after a customer's tweet went viral.

A man, named Leslie, earlier tweeted: "Empty mdma into your kfc for a zinger pinger jaw swinger", in reference to KFC's slogan 'finger lickin' good'.

His tweet quickly gained momentum, gaining nearly 5000 retweets and over 26k likes.

A number of users were quick to comment on Leslie's tweet saying it was the best post of 2020 so far.

However, KFC had their own follow up, as they were quickly confirmed that the psychoactive drug is not part of their recipe.

The fast-food restaurant tweeted: "Can confirm; this is NOT one of the 11 herbs and spices..."

KFC UK & Ireland's tweet surpassed Leslie's, gaining over 12k retweets and 77.3k likes in just six hours.

KFC followed the tweet up with a gif of a chicken on a turntable captioned: "I regret nothing."

Fans loved their social media antics, with many praising the team on Twitter.

Jasmeme wrote: "Whoever does your social media, give them a raise."

Marc Jackson replied to the company asking: "Why not?"

KFC bluntly replied: "Because that's illegal, Marc."

And another user wrote: "I am crying with laughter".

KFC's fried chicken recipe is a closely guarded secret.

The top-secret recipe was tucked away in a scrapbook belonging to Colonel Sanders’ second wife.
