If you you weren't already aware, today, November 23, is Black Friday - an American tradition of mega-sales which falls on the day after Thanksgiving.
Thanks to global retail sites like Amazon, this tradition has now made its way across the Atlantic and a multitude of UK companies are jumping on board - which makes it the perfect time to buy Christmas presents for your loved ones.
But it's not just retail stores offering great deals, food outlets are joining the bandwagon too. Beloved fast food chain KFC are giving away fries for free in their stores across the UK today to celebrate the occasion.
This comes after KFC have redeveloped their fries to make them 'thicker, tastier and chunkier'. Hazell White, CRM & Loyalty Manager at KFC UK and Ireland, said: “We’ve been blown away by the response we’ve had to our new fries – it’s a dream come true. To say thanks, we thought we’d give our fans a chance to try the new fries for free this Black Friday.”
However, not all customers are satisfied with the new style of chip and some have taken to Twitter to complain about the new fries, with one user stating they taste like 'microwave chips'.
