After disappearing faster than diners could say ‘plant-based dining’, KFC’s vegan burger is back.
The group first experimented with vegan fast food earlier this summer, launching a month-long trial of the Imposter burger across outposts in Bristol and London. It proved a success, selling out in three days.
It's now been announced that the dish is back again – at least until stocks last. Londoners won't easily be able to tuck in, though, with just the Gloucester Road branch serving the dish. Bristolians are in better luck, with nine sites across the city plating up the vegan patty.
The “finger lickin’ vegan” dish is designed to replicate the look and taste of an Original Recipe fillet burger, with the chicken replaced by a Quorn fillet.

KFC is the latest company to venture into vegan fast food, after Greggs divided fans with its vegan sausage roll. Ikea also recently announced plans to introduce plant-based meatballs in the UK.
