The summer transfer window is now officially open - and it is set to be a busy, and big, one for Nottingham Forest.
Boss Chris Hughton has made a start on his planned Reds reshuffle with the recent publication of the club’s retained list.
Twelve players have left the club - seven whose contracts have expired and five whose loan deals are up.
Others are likely to follow out the exit door, while Forest also have players set to return from loan spells elsewhere.
And there will be a significant number of incomings as Hughton looks to put his stamp on the dressing room.
His aim is to transform the team from one which finished 17th in the Championship into one which can challenge for promotion.
That requires a fair bit of work.
Here are all the key details you need to know about the summer window.
When does it open?
As of today, the summer transfer window is up and running, and officially open for business.
It opened today - Wednesday, June 9.
When will the window close?
The English Football League haven’t announced a date for when the window will close, but the Premier League have confirmed it will shut at 11pm on Tuesday, August 31.
The EFL will most likely fall into line, giving clubs 12 weeks in which to do their business.
The Scottish transfer window runs for the same dates, while Sky Sports report France, Spain and Germany will also work to the same timeframe.
It means the Reds will still have a chance to oversee incomings and outgoings after the Championship campaign has kicked off, with the season due to begin on August 7.
Will there be a second transfer window, as was the case last year?
In 2020, after the international transfer deadline, there was a domestic window where top-flight and EFL clubs could still do deals.
Sky claim the Premier League have been considering implementing a similar stance this time around, but a decision has not yet been made.
Last year, the international window shut on October 5, while the domestic-only window ran through to October 16.
