Key Rangers duo miss training ahead of Champions League tie

Both Hamza Igamane and Thelo Aasgaard were absent from Rangers' training session this morning.

Russell Martin's side were put through their paces at the club's training ground near Milngavie ahead of tomorrow night's crucial second leg of the Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos.

The squad will travel to Athens later today, with the head coach set to conduct his media duties in the stadium later this evening.

However, it would appear that both Igamane and Aasgaard will remain at home, after both players failed to train with the rest of the first team this morning.

Gordon Duncan explained the situation on Sky Sports, as their cameras showed the team training.

"The most notable things for the fans will be the absentees," he reported. "They would've been hoping that Thelo Aasgaard, one of the summer signings, was going to come back in. And Hamza Igamane, who missed the friendly over Middlesborough at the weekend.

"However, neither of them are here training on the outskirts of Glasgow this morning.

"So, it doesn't look like either of them will be in a position to feature."
