Michigan State football’s first spring scrimmage is now in the books, and while the team is still missing some transfers and incoming freshmen, Mel Tucker and his staff were able to start to get a feel for the team they will have available in this upcoming season.
It was also an opportunity for new transfer quarterback Anthony Russo and returning QB Payton Thorne to start what will likely be a competitive QB battle, although it seems like both players are taking that competition in stride and with a good attitude.
