Injured midfielder Samba Sow says it is “only a matter of time” before he is back in action for Nottingham Forest.
The summer signing has made a big impact since his arrival from Dynamo Moscow, but has been out of action for the past three weeks due to a hamstring problem.
Sow was forced off in the Reds’ 1-0 victory over Brentford before the international break and has missed the subsequent defeats to Wigan Athletic and Hull City.
Head coach Sabri Lamouchi said last week he hoped the 30-year-old would return before the next round of international fixtures, which fall in November.
And the man himself is confident it won’t be long until he is wearing the Garibaldi again.
Sow posted a picture of himself on the treatment table via Instagram with the caption: “It’s only a matter of time.”
Forest are hopeful defender Michael Dawson could be back involved with the team this week, following a calf injury, but midfielder Alfa Semedo (back) remains sidelined.
“Maybe Michael Dawson might be next week,” Lamouchi said last week.
“The others (Sow and Semedo) need more time - maybe before the next international break. I hope they will be back before then, but I am not a doctor, so I am just waiting.”
Defenders Carl Jenkinson, Yohan Benalouane, Michael Hefele and Tendayi Darikwa remain longer term absentees.
