Technical director Francois Modesto says Nottingham Forest will target players who can bring a “little trick” during their transfer dealings.
The Frenchman played a key role in the Reds’ summer business, with his remit on recruitment for the first-team, having a technical role.
His appointment - along with head of international recruitment Jose Anigo - was confirmed by the club in October, though the pair are understood to have already been working at the City Ground for some time before then.
Modesto played an important part in the arrival of head coach Sabri Lamouchi on the banks of the River Trent, back in June, and has been working closely with him since.
Ahead of the January window, the former Olympiacos chief scout has given an insight into the kind of targets Forest will be looking at.

In a translated interview with So Foot, he was asked what different things he would like to bring to the Reds, he said: “Foreign players to advance the team tactically, I would say.
“At the level of commitment and determination, there is nothing to change.
“We prioritize English players and we take strangers to bring a talent, in addition, a player who has this little trick.”
