Key man returns as Ian Burchnall names Notts County team to face King's Lynn

Notts County attacker Ruben Rodrigues was back for the Magpies as head coach Ian Burchnall named his team to face King's Lynn tonight.

The Portuguese forward, who has been in excellent form this season, returned from a one-match ban and was thrust straight into thr starting 11.

But there was no place for captain Kyle Cameron who sat out the clash altogether due to illness.

New signing Zac Brunt, who has joined from Sheffield United, had to make do with a place on the bench after arriving on loan last week.

With Anthony Patterson back at Sunderland, goalkeeping duties fell to Sam Slocombe who was behind the back three of Richard Brindley, Alex Lacey and Adam Chicksen.

At wing-back was Callum Roberts and Jayden Richardson while the midfield trio consisted of Matt Palmer, Frank Vincent and Ed Francis.

Up front Rodrigues partnered top scorer Kyle Wootton.

Notts: Slocombe; Brindley, Lacey, Chicksen; Richardson, Palmer, Vincent, Francis, Roberts; Rodrigues and Wootton.

Subs: Brunt, Nemane, Mitchell, Sam, Rawlinson.
