Leeds United talisman Pablo Hernandez has issued a defiant stance on his aim to get the club promoted this season.
Nottingham Forest take on the Whites at the City ground on Saturday (5.30pm) in their next match in the Sky Bet Championship, with both clubs striving to return to the top flight.
The Reds are currently in fourth place in the league standings, four points behind Marcelo Bielsa’s side who occupy second spot and the final automatic promotion place.
Leeds have gone close to promotion in the past, having reached last season’s play-off semi-final, but lost to Derby County after a dramatic second leg at Elland Road.
Ahead of this weekend’s tussle on Trentside, Hernandez is determined to take on the challenge and help the club achieve promotion to the Premier League.
"When I came to Leeds I knew it would be a big challenge for me,” Hernandez told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
He added: "I played in the Premier League with Swansea some years ago, but this club is different, this is a big club in England and deserves to be in the Premier League.
"For me it is a good challenge to help this club to get back to the Premier League. In my four years we have had some big chances to get back, but we didn't do well in our last few games in my first season and everyone knows what happened last season.
"Now we are in a good way and we have a great chance again this year and we will try to give everything to help this club come back to Premier League."
