All Avanti West Coast trains from Glasgow Central to London Euston have been cancelled as the UK braces for severe disruption due to extreme heat.
Rail passengers heading from Scotland to England are being warned to travel only if essential, with temperatures in parts of southern England expected to reach as high as 38C.
A National Rail alert covering England and Wales remains in place until at least Saturday, June 27.
Avanti West Coast confirmed the cancellations from Glasgow Central to London Euston following a "danger to life" warning.
Network Rail warned that high temperatures can cause rail tracks to buckle and damage overhead power lines, leading to significant delays and cancellations.
In London, temperatures are forecast to reach the low to mid-30s, with little overnight cooling expected.
Glasgow will remain much cooler, with temperatures in the mid 20s and dry conditions, but rail services are still affected due to disruption further south.
Transport operators have warned that services may be altered at short notice as conditions change.
Passengers are advised to check before they travel, allow extra time for journeys, and prepare for potential cancellations or last-minute changes.
