L’Elephant Palette £74
Renowned for their stunning limited edition makeup which feature the emblem of rare and endangered animals, Chantecaille’s latest palette features the majestic African Elephant. It’s estimated that 38,000 African elephants are killed every year by ivory poachers, meaning that by 2025 they could be entirely wiped out. Chantecaille are donating 5% of the proceeds from each palette to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which helps to protect these elephants from poachers as well as rear orphaned baby elephants. So along with four beautifully textured eyeshadows in a chic refillable case, you also get to choose the orphan elephant you would like to foster, for which you receive a certificate with detailed profile and photo, plus access to a ‘Keeper’s Diary’ online. Available September 2012.

Nail Colour in Brave, £9.95
Beauty products and soldiers might not be an obvious partnership but ethical British beauty brand Maison Danu isn’t your ordinary beauty company either. Their products are quietly gaining an elite fan-base thanks to their offbeat outlook. And it’s with their Formaldehyde-free nail colour that they’ve decided to support the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund (HCOCF), which provides immediate and material support to injured soldiers of the Household Cavalry and their families, and to those who have lost their lives on active service. 50% of the profits made from the sale of this striking red nail polish (an exact colour match to the regimental uniform worn by the Life Guards of the Household Cavalry) will go to the HCOCF fund

Dragon Fruit Lip Butter, £4.00
If you prefer to support more than one charity then march on down to your local branch of The Body Shop. They’ve gone for a democratic way of supporting a charity by giving you the option of three to choose from whenever you buy a Dragon Fruit Lip Butter. Once you’ve bought the balm you’ll be handed a token which you then just pop into the box of the charity you want your money to go to. 100% of the profits are given away, and you can choose Kidscape (helping to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse), People & Planet (campaigning to end world poverty, defend human rights and protect the environment) and BUAV (campaigning to end all animal experiments)

Revitalizing Emulsion, £86
This luxurious skincare brand has joined forces with the uber-glam Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to create...(sounds of trumpets)... The La Prairie Award for Innovation in Marine Protection. Basically, they’re stumping up $100,000 to donate to three charity projects. The twist is that you get to vote which charity wins the lump sum, and which get the 2nd and 3rd prize of $20,000 and $10,000. You can vote via their facebook page for the endangered Monk Seal (warning - they have big sad eyes), an educational boat that teaches children to respect the environment, or the conservation of an endangered coral reef ecosystem. Oh, and they’ve got the very cool ‘Oceanaut’ Celine Cousteau (granddaughter of the legendary Jacques) on board as a judge and spokespersonlaprairie.com
