Former Scotland international and pundit Ally McCoist has highlighted the ease at which Liverpool are scoring goals at the moment compared to Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola's side travel to Anfield on Sunday for what promises to be an intriguing clash in the Premier League.
The Reds are the division leaders by a point going into the weekend fixtures and have been in rampant goalscoring form throughout September, netting 20 goals in all competitions during the month.
City are just a point back on Liverpool after an impressive win over Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League, although their momentum was jolted after a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
By contrast, Liverpool visited Porto and surged to a 5-1 win. It means confidence will be high in the Reds' camp as they look to extend their lead over City to four points at the summit of the table.
Speaking after both teams played in the Champions League on Tuesday, McCoist said he was struck by how easy goals are flowing for Liverpool
"They looked such a threat," said McCoist of Liverpool. "We're talking about Manchester City right? Lacking a number nine. They've still been doing well City of course they have.
"But the difference between the two sides - clearly on last night's evidence - would be what a threat Liverpool look, whereas you think City are going to have to work for their goals.
"Liverpool look as though they're going to get a goalscoring opportunity every time they run up the park. You know whether it's [Diogo] Jota, [Sadio] Mane, [Roberto] Firmino who come on, [Mohamed] Salah they just looked absolutely terrific."
In City, Liverpool will come up against the strongest defence in the Premier League, as Guardiola 's team have only conceded one goal in their first six games. That came on the first weekend too, when they were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur.
City ended an 18-year wait without a win at Anfield last season, when they hammered the Reds 4-1. However, that was played out in front of an empty stadium and an in-form, well-supported Liverpool will make for much tougher opponents this weekend.
