When does the summer transfer window close for Nottingham Forest?

Nottingham Forest have already been busy in the transfer market, with 12 new arrivals so far this summer. And it is likely more deals will still be done - both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Nicholas Ioannou became the latest addition when he made the move on Friday, following the arrivals of Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett, Lyle Taylor, Fouad Bachirou, Luke Freeman, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Loic Mbe Soh, Abdoulaye Diallo, Cyrus Christie, Harry Arter and Scott McKenna.

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi has said he still wants to add a winger, and the Reds have also been linked with Olympiacos midfielder Cafu.

It is expected players will head in the opposite direction, too, with the manager keen to trim his squad.

And time is running out to get transfers over the line.

When does the transfer window close?

The transfer window is set to close after being open for 10 weeks - since July 27 - on Monday, October 5, at 11pm.

However, Premier League and English Football League clubs will still be able to get deals done as part of a domestic-only window from October 5 to October 16.

That window will close on Friday, October 16 at 5pm.

What is the domestic-only window?

The two-week extension will allow clubs to do deals between Premier League and EFL clubs, as well as between EFL clubs - but top-flight teams will not be able to swap players between each other.

In a statement, the Premier League said: “During this window, clubs will only be able to trade with EFL clubs (either loans or permanent registrations).

"No transfers can take place between Premier League clubs in this period."

The EFL added: "The window for international registrations closes at 23:00 BST on Monday, 5 October, with an agreement in place with the Premier League for an extended two-week domestic-only window, which will close at 17:00 on Friday, 16 October."
