HYDERABAD: Two more accused, including key accused Srinivas Reddy, were arrested on Saturday for the alleged murder of software engineer Narayana Reddy recently. Narayana Reddy was murdered and his body was burnt in a forest area at Jannaram in Sangareddy district.
Madhapur police concluded that since the victim was defaming his estranged wife and making attempts to make sure she did not get re-married, her family members allegedly killed him.
KPHB police said that till now four persons have been arrested. On June 27, the victim was called by Srinivas Reddy to meet him. He informed his roommate about the meeting and left the place. Subsequently, Narayana Reddy went missing.
Officials said that initially they picked up Shaik Aashiq, based on initial investigation. He spilled the beans that the victim was already murdered and his body was burnt at Jannaram forest area. The victim was first strangulated allegedly by Srinivas Reddy, Kasi and Aashiq and then his body was set ablaze.
The accused threw the victim’s mobile in a lake before they moved to Kurnool. On July 4, Srinivas Reddy and Kasi were picked up by police from Kurnool. But police realised that they had consumed poison and shifted them to hospital. After they got discharged, they were arrested. In this case, police had declared six persons as accused, including the victim’s father-in-law Venkateshwar Reddy, who is absconding.
