Leaving Certificate students across the country will finally receive their results on Friday, September 3.
After another year disrupted by Covid, there will be some receiving grades from exams they sat, and other getting predicted marks.
Just last week, Education Minister Norma Foley warned that there may be a longer wait time than normal for appeals due to difficulties thrown up by Covid, so ensuring you know the correct dates is vital.
We have compiled all of the information you need to know if you’re looking to appeal, receive your results online, or just want to take a look at your script for a particular subject:
Results
All Leaving Certificate results will be available at 10am on Friday, September 3.
Examination Portal Schools will also receive a summary report by post at 10am.
Remember, schools will not have individual copies of provisional statements of results - they can be printed by candidates from the 'Candidate Portal'.
Application to access scripts
If you want access to written examination marks, or accredited estimated grades, you can apply from 5pm on Tuesday, September 7, on the portal.
Applications for this process close at 8pm on Wednesday, September 8.Viewing dates
Once you have applied to see your scripts, you will be assigned to one of three sessions on Saturday, September 11:
- Session 1: 9am – 11am
- Session 2: 12pm – 2pm
- Session 3: 3pm – 5pm
Schools will have the option of an additional session on the morning of Sunday, September 12, depending on the volume of applications.
Access to any script marked online will be from 9am on Saturday, September 11 to Sunday, September 12, at 12pm.
Appeal application
If you’re looking to appeal one of your examination results, applications open at 9am on Saturday, September 11, and close at 12pm on Monday, September 13.
The date of when your appeal results will be available is yet to be confirmed.
