Kevon Looney to miss at least next two games with neuropathic issue

After the Warriors lost their season opener to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, Draymond Green was reported as having suffered some sort of minor nerve injury to his right arm.

Interestingly enough, however, on Saturday, it was reported that Kevon Looney will be held out of at least the team’s next two games with what the team is describing as a “neuropathic issue.”

Looney left Thursday night’s loss prematurely, as his nagging hamstring issues flared up during the contest. He was held out of the game for precautionary reasons before the team eventually came to the conclusion that it would be best to leave him home when they head out for a pair of back-to-back road games.

The Dubs will do battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday before heading to New Orleans to square off against Lonzo Ball and the Pelicans on Monday.

They will then return to San Francisco for a Wednesday night contest with the Phoenix Suns. Looney will return to the lineup, at the earliest, when they host Phoenix.

Many people, including TNT’s outspoken Charles Barkley, believe that the Warriors are in for a very long season. If there’s one thing they need, it’s all hands on deck.

Instead, they’re already dealing with some injury issues as they head out for their first road games of the season.
