So we have a definite answer about one of the Warriors dealing with injuries in the NBA Finals. Kevon Looney, who went down hard in the second quarter of Game 2 against the Raptors, has suffered a broken collar bone, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Looney was injured on a play in which he and Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard collided. Looney went to the ground hard and laid on the floor for a beat before getting back up.
Looney went to the locker room and it was reported in the 3rd quarter that he wouldn’t return to the game with a sprained collar bone.
Looney was an integral part of the Warriors frontcourt rotation playing 28 minutes in Game 2 being very active on the defensive end of the floor.
In Game 3, expect to see an uptick in minutes from DeMarcus Cousins and Andrew Bogut. Cousins had his first good game of the postseason after missing all but two games in Game 2 of the Finals and will look to improve on that in Game 3.
Game 3 is on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena.
