Ravens G Kevin Zeitler on offensive output vs. Steelers: ‘There’s a lot of room for improvement’

The Baltimore Ravens lost their Week 17 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in ugly fashion on Sunday and were unable to do enough on offense to outscore their now 8-8 opponent. The 16-13 final score in favor of Pittsburgh was a disappointment to many in Baltimore, especially considering what was on the line during the contest.

Speaking to reporters after the game, veteran guard Kevin Zeitler made it clear that this loss would be an impetus for the team to look inward and focus their efforts on finding ways to, in his words, “get the job done.”

“Well, obviously, there’s a lot of room for improvement,” Zeitler said in his Week 17 post-mortem immediately after the game. “Obviously, it’s frustrating knowing that at the end of the game we weren’t able to pull it out. Us, the players, we’re the ones that are out there. Whatever the call is, whatever happens, we have to get it done. It’s up to us. Anyone can say anything, but it really comes down to us getting the job done.”

While the 10-6 Ravens have already clinched a spot in January’s playoffs, they’ll need to find ways to improve their offensive output in short order if they intend to win any more games this season.

The potential return of Lamar Jackson would benefit the team greatly, but for now, they’ll need to work with their available talent to come out with a much-needed victory against the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday’s regular-season finale.
