Kevin White, Andy Isabella, Byron Murphy will not play in preseason opener

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury would not give many clues about how much different players on the team would play. However, leading up to their preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, it became clear at three players will sit out with an injury.

Receivers Kevin White and Andy Isabella, as well as cornerback Byron Murphy, did not dress for the game.

Isabella, drafted in the second round in April, is nursing a knee injury he suffered last week in practice. He did return to practice on Tuesday this week but clearly the team is being safe with him.

Murphy missed Tuesday’s practice with a foot injury. He was seen on the sideline in a walking boot.

Murphy told 12 Sports’ Cameron Cox it isn’t serious and will play next week.

White’s injury is unknown. Having battled injuries his entire NFL career, it is somewhat of a concern. Kingsbury mentioned consistency and availability as keys for him.

Linebacker Haason Reddick (knee) and left guard Justin Pugh (shoulder) are out at least a couple of weeks with their injuries.
