Former Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson has agreed to become the new manager of Kelty Hearts.
The 36-year-old, who has been working as a youth coach at Rangers, will replace his former Ibrox team-mate at New Central Park.
Barry Ferguson stepped aside last weekend after leading the club from the Lowland League into League Two for the first time in their history.
This will be Thomson's first managerial gig as he looks to build on the foundations laid by Ferguson.
He has been working at Auchenhowie as part of the under-18 side since 2019 having previously worked with the under-15 side on a part-time basis.
The Fife club are set to announce the appointment within the next 48 hours as they get to work on a busy summer ahead of their SPFL debut.
Former teammate Ferguson has now been appointed as Alloa boss in League One following his successful stint in the fifth tier.
