An angry Kevin Pietersen shocked Piers Morgan by launching into a rant about his treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, ordering him to leave the couple alone.
The famous cricketer was due on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain to discuss his return to India to captain England Legends in a test series this week but, within seconds of appearing on screen to chat to Piers and co-host Susanna had a go at him about his 'obsession' with Harry and Meghan.
Piers and Susanna had just finished a discussion about the bombshell allegations levelled at Meghan late on Tuesday night, which claim she faced several bullying complaints from members of staff during her time as working royal in the UK, reducing them to tears.
As Piers gave him a friendly welcome, Kevin immediately fired back: "I'm so glad I followed on from Harry and Meghan. Can you just leave them alone please Piers, you're doing everyone's head in."
Trying to reason with him, Piers replied: "Mate, with respect, what part of them giving endless primetime TV interviews means they want to be left alone?"
Kevin hit back: "You know how to deal with it, just leave them alone," to which Piers shouted: "They don't want to be left alone!"
Standing strong on his stance, Kevin responded: "Well just leave them alone," before Susanna tried to move things on by saying: "Can we leave them alone in this interview?"
Ignoring her, Piers added: "If you don't want to talk about them why bring them up?" Kevin again told him: "Leave them alone!"
And as Susanna put her head in her hands, Piers again retorted: "But they don't want to be left alone do they? They're doing primetime interviews."
Kevin again said: "Just leave them alone," as a despairing Susanna complained: "How are we still talking about them?!"
At the end of the interview, Piers told Kevin: "We've run out of time because you spent most of it banging on about Meghan and Harry ironically."
He relied: "I just said what everyone wanted to and needed me to Piers."
