Kevin Nisbet to Birmingham is OFF as Hibs make transfer position clear

Kevin Nisbet’s move to Birmingham City is off.

Hibs are refusing to negotiate with the St Andrews club even after Nisbet submitted a transfer request this afternoon in a bid to force a move.

Jack Ross was confident that his top scorer would still be part of his squad for tomorrow’s Scottish Premiership meeting with St Mirren.

And it looks like the Easter Road boss is set to get his wish after the club refused to entertain any dialogue with Birmingham over a move.

The Blues saw a £2.25million bid fail last week before returning with an increased offer.

That was only upped to £2.6million however, and Hibs informed them of what it would take to land their main man.

And that seemed to deter the Midlands club, who described the figure as “unrealistic”.

They appeared to be back in with a chance after the player himself took matters into his own hands and slapped a transfer request down.

But that’s failed to force Hibs to shift their position, and no talks with Birmingham will take place, reports the Daily Record.

After being left on the bench for the weekend’s win over Dundee United, it will be intriguing to see whether Nisbet starts in Paisley tomorrow night.
