Kevin Nisbet's Scotland Firestick faux-pas that had Hibs striker sending for his X-Box

Kevin Nisbet committed the cardinal sin of turning up for Scotland duty with just an Amazon Firestick.

But the Hibs striker quickly sent for his X-Box after his teammates told him he’d be needing to produce a console now he was in with the big boys.

Nisbet played his way into Steve Clarke's squad after a stellar first season at Easter Road, netting 18 goals as Jack Ross’ side clinched third place in the Scottish Premiership.

He’s taken to international football as well, netting his first goal for his country against the Netherlands in a pre-Euros friendly.

But he's got a lot to learn off the pitch after he was found wanting in the off-pitch entertainment stakes.

Declan Gallagher has been giving the low down on his Scotland teammates for this summer’s tournament, and explained how the former Dunfermline man was unaware of the gaming protocols within the group.

But he was quick to rectify the situation in order to join in the fun

“A good lad,” said Gallagher of Nisbet. “He came to the last squad with nothing but his Firestick, so he was basically just sitting in his room. I text him saying: "You got an XBOX or that so you can join in with the boys?" So he actually got someone in his family to go and drop off his XBOX for him in his first camp.”

However, according to Gallagher, Nisbet may have all the gear but no idea when it comes to actually playing Call of Duty.

He told BBC Scotand: “I'll put him in the Liam Cooper category. Absolutely terrible at COD, if he doesn't bring his A-Game in this camp he's oot and Davie Turnbull's in.”
