Kevin Nisbet reveals classy Andy Robertson gesture as Scotland skipper showers squad with gifts

Kevin Nisbet saluted skipper Andy Robertson after he presented the Scotland squad with gifts ahead of Euro 2020.

The Hibs striker revealed he and his team-mates had been treated by the captain as they prepare for Monday's opener against the Czech Republic.

Steve Clarke's squad have checked into their tournament base at Rockliffe Park in the north east of England.

And a grateful Nisbet revealed a classy gesture from Liverpool star Robertson - including Apple Watches and earphones - was awaiting the players.

"We came here yesterday (Wednesday) and the skipper Robbo bought us gifts," Nisbet said.

"We got a box and there was a lot of stuff in it. It makes you realise you're here, you're at the Euros and it's started now.

"There was Apple Watches, earphones... a lot of stuff. It's credit to Robbo, he's done it off his own back.

"He's a great captain, a great leader and the best person to take us forward."

Meanwhile, John Fleck was reunited with his Scotland team-mates following his period of self-isolation after the whole squad came through Covid-19 tests with no further positives.

Fleck had to stay in his hotel room in Spain after testing positive during Scotland's training camp but Clarke had a full complement of players as they trained at their Euro 2020 base near Darlington for the first time.

And Nisbet said: "The camp's in a very good place now. We had two days back home, we came in and got tested right away and sent to our rooms. Thankfully everyone came back negative.

"It's great that Flecky is back. He obviously had a tough time testing positive and he has just been in his room ever since. So he got a wee round of applause this morning from the boys."
