Kevin Nisbet won't travel with Scotland to Denmark despite returning from Covid isolation at the weekend.
The Hibs striker scored the opening goal in their 2-0 Premiership victory over Livingston, having sat out the previous week’s draw with Dundee.
Jack Ross assured Nisbet would be fine to join up with Steve Clarke’s squad ahead of their World Cup qualifying triple header against Denmark, Moldova and Austria.
But Lanarkshire Live now report that the 24-year-old may not travel to Copenhagen after a decision was made this morning.
It's expected he'll be available for Saturday’s Hampden clash with the Moldovans before heading to Austria the following day.
Nisbet’s club future could also be uncertain after Swansea City reportedly launched a £5million bid for the front man yesterday.
The Swans, who are managed by former Scotland defender Russell Martin, want Nisbet to help fire their Premier League promotion bid.
Hibs are hopeful of tying him down on an improved contract, although it remains to be see whether the money on offer is too good to turn down.
The HIbees and Nisbet have been in this position on deadline day before. A £3million bid from Birmingham City was rejected on the final day of the January window, and supporters will be hoping for a similar outcome this time.
