Kevin Mirallas leaves Everton after seven years in free transfer back to Belgium

Kevin Mirallas has joined Royal Antwerp on a free transfer to bring an end to his seven year association with Everton.

The Belgium forward spent last season on loan at Fiorentina and has been on the fringes of the Blues' first-team for the past two campaigns.

Mirallas was told early on that he did not feature in the plans of manager Marco Silva and has now signed a one-year contract with Antwerp.

The winger joined Everton from Olympiakos in 2012 and would go on to make 186 appearances for the club, scoring 38 goals.

The 31-year-old had entered the final year of his Goodison contract and Everton were keen to offload the forward as they continue to slash their wage bill.

And this afternoon, Mirallas permanent switch to top flight side Antwerp has been confirmed with the Blues agreeing to his free transfer.
