Kevin Holland announces UFC 272 fight vs. Alex Oliveira

Kevin Holland and Alex Oliveira both will be looking to get off the schneid when they meet at UFC 272.

Holland announced Monday on his OnlyFans that he and Oliveira will square off in a welterweight fight at the UFC’s March 5 pay-per-view event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Holland (21-7 MMA, 8-4 UFC), who went 5-0 during a remarkable 2020 campaign, is coming off a 2021 without a win in three fights. He lost unanimous decisions to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori before most recently having his Oct. 2 fight with Kyle Daukaus end in a no contest after an accidental clash of heads.

Holland and Daukaus had been booked for a rematch to take place last November at UFC Fight Night 197, but Holland withdrew because of an undisclosed history.

Now Holland turns his attention Oliveira (22-11-1 MMA, 11-9 UFC), who is on a three-fight losing streak and has dropped six of his past eight bouts. His current skid consists of two submission losses to Shavkat Rakhmonov and Randy Brown, as well as most recently a unanimous decision loss to Niko Price on Oct. 2.

The updated UFC 272 lineup includes:

  • Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan – for bantamweight title
  • Edson Barboza vs. Bryce Mitchell
  • Jessica Eye vs. Manon Fiorot
  • Mariya Agapova vs. Maryna Moroz
  • Dustin Jacoby vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk
  • Tim Elliott vs. Tagir Ulanbekov
  • Marina Rodriguez vs. Yan Xiaonan
  • Kevin Holland vs. Alex Oliveira
