Kevin Hart car crash: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson shares emotional message for former co-star

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has sent Kevin Hart a touching message following reports that his co-star and friend had been injured in a car accident.

The pair have had a long-standing friendship and have appeared alongside each other in a number of movies together including hits like Jumanji and Central Intelligence.

Alongside a photograph of the two stars in Jumanji, Johnson wrote: “Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong.”

Elsewhere, fellow actor Terry Crews tweeted a news story about Hart’s accident with the message, “Get well soon, brother.”

Crews and Hart appeared together in the BET series Real Husbands of Hollywood and also the 2004 comedy film Soul Plane.

Hart’s The Upside co-star Bryan Cranston posted a photo with Hart on Instagram, sharing a sweet message for his.

He wrote: “Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother. B.”

David Beckham, who appeared in an advert with Hart, shared an image of the pair posing for the H&M commercial in matching outfits and wrote: ‘Hey man stay strong and get better soon Love as always [sic]”.

Many other celebrities sent uplifting messages to Hart, including fellow comedians like Arsenio Hall, Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Ross, and Ron Funches.

Coming to America’s Hall said that “the car can be replaced. But the comedy world could never replace”.

Meanwhile, Iglesias wrote on Instagram: “This man brings so many people smiles, laughter and positivity energy every day. Let’s send him some too #GetBetterKevin,”

Comedian and actor Hart,40, was reported to have suffered “major back injuries”, according to the Associated Press.

A California Highway Patrol collision report cited by AP said Hart was a passenger in a car which is believed to have tumbled down an embankment in the hills above Malibu.

The driver, Jared Black, is also said to have suffered major injuries in the accident. He was not under the influence of alcohol at the time, CHP added.

AP said Hart and the car’s driver were both taken to hospital having suffered “major back injuries”.

The driver of the car was not under the influence of alcohol, according to the report.

Authorities said Hart was able to leave the scene of the crash with a second passenger.

He was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center and the driver was taken to another hospital.

His publicist did not respond to requests for comment when contacted.
