Kevin Durant shows support for teammates after Game 4 loss

The Golden State Warriors have missed Kevin Durant for nine straight games following a calf strain he suffered in Game 5 of their semifinals series with the Houston Rockets.

They started out 5-0 with him after finishing off Game 6 in Houston and then swept the Portland Trail Blazers in the conference finals. But Golden State has been hit with a reality check from the Toronto Raptors after dropping Game 4 at home, 105-92, to trail in the NBA Finals, 3-1.

Despite not being on the floor, Durant is still showing support for his teammates, providing as much encouragement as he can off the floor.

The support off the floor is great and all, but the Warriors desperately need their superstar back on the floor if they are to have a real chance at winning this series.

The Warriors are definitely a championship-proven bunch with or without Durant. But with all of these injuries, there’s only so much one team can take. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are trying to carry the team, but they need their teammates to step up and it’s been tough against this Toronto defense.

There are now two days off, giving Durant some extra time to prepare and heal up before Game 5 tips off from Scotiabank Arena on Monday.
