OAKLAND, Calif. _ Warriors forward Kevin Durant missed practice on Tuesday with a left calf strain and is questionable for Game 2 on Wednesday night against the Blazers.
Durant suffered the injury during the second half of Game 1, grabbing at his leg a few times in the third quarter, but remained in the game and closed strong, nailing two late jumpers to cap off his 32-point performance. But he didn't practice on Tuesday.
"If he didn't practice, there's concern," Steve Kerr said. "He's questionable."
Kerr said the expectation is that Durant will return rather quickly, but "you have to be careful" with muscle strains like this.
The Warriors may also be without Shaun Livingston. The veteran guard jammed his right index finger diving for a loose ball in Game 1. He also did not practice.
But a sliver of injury reprieve: Matt Barnes, who has been out with an ankle injury the past couple weeks, may return in Game 2. He's also listed as questionable. Kerr admitted that Durant's availability may dictate whether the team pushes Barnes to return.
"It could," Kerr said. "It could. We'll see how everybody is doing tomorrow and give you an update."
