Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson share rehab photos

The 2019-20 NBA season will begin with two of the best players in the world on the sidelines, as former Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson continue to recover from the devastating injuries they suffered in the NBA Finals.

New Nets star Kevin Durant hasn’t been officially ruled out for the upcoming season, but he’s not expected to return after suffering a ruptured Achilles in Game 5 against the Raptors.

Earlier this week, Nets GM Sean Marks said he has “no idea” when Durant will return, but reiterated that he won’t play until he’s 100 percent healthy.

Via Nets Daily:

“We’re certainly not going to rush him back. There’s going to be absolutely none of that. We have far too much invested in him, and we owe it to Kevin to get him back to 100 percent.”

Durant has been working out on crutches and in the pool.

Thompson suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in Game 6 against the Raptors. The Warriors haven’t given a timetable for Thompson’s return,  but it has been speculated that he could be back on the floor to help the Warriors make a playoff push in the final months of the season. Thompson posted a photo with his dog Rocco in an Instagram story.
