Kevin Durant had a simple reason for why Steph Curry is better than Russell Westbrook

Kevin Durant played eight seasons alongside Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City and three seasons with Steph Curry at Golden State.

There’s not really a player better suited to answer the question of “who’s better” than Durant. He has extended experience with both players.

And guess what? Durant didn’t even need to give the answer much thought. His answer was Curry, and his reasoning was rather simple.

Durant joined How Hungry Are You? with Serge Ibaka, and when Ibaka asked Durant to choose between his MVP-winning former teammates, Durant didn’t back down from the question.

Durant took a couple seconds and said, “Stephen Curry.”

When asked why, Durant replied, “Because he can shoot better.”

Curry is a 44 percent 3-point shooter while Westbrook’s career mark has hovered around 31 percent. They’re very different players, but we now know that Durant prefers Steph.
