Kevin Durant had 38 points in the first half of Game 6, which is pretty good

So yeah, it doesn’t look like the Golden State Warriors are going to be blowing any 3-1 leads this year and I have two words for a reason why: Kevin. Durant.

The best basketball player in the world went off for 38 POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF of Game 6 against the Clippers in LA on Friday night, which is just one point behind Sleepy Floyd’s NBA record for points in a half in a playoff game.

UPDATE: Kevin Durant finished with 50 points and the Warriors beat the Clippers 129-110 to advance to the second round where they’ll face the Warriors.

Durant put the team on his back in the first half and led the Warriors to a 72-53 lead at the break.

He had to step up, too, because Steph Curry left briefly with an ankle injury.

Durant did it all, as you can see in these highlights:

And everyone was pretty darned impressed:

Let’s see if the Clippers can make another comeback.
