Kevin Durant, ankle, ruled out vs. the Rockets for Wednesday night

Kevin Durant went down late in the Warriors four-point loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night with an ankle injury, and it appears as if he will miss the Warriors next game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

The Rockets have had the Warriors number this season with three wins heading into their final meeting of the season. The Rockets have wins without Chris Paul on one occasion and without James Harden most recently.

Not only will Durant sit out against Houston, but he did not practice with the team on Tuesday, according to Mark Medina.

Steph Curry missed the first meeting between the two games, meaning that a key player has missed in each of the four games this season. Considering that the Rockets gave the Warriors the most trouble in the postseason last year, it’ll be interesting to see how those two teams gameplan for each other should they meet in this year’s postseason.

Durant was listed as day-to-day before he was officially ruled out, and his absence with a right ankle contusion shouldn’t be an extended one.
