You don’t need to tell Kevin Devaney that Bohemians’ crowds are up this season.
That’s because he’s spent the year sitting among the fans in the Jodi Stand while injured.
“I’ve seen it first hand,” he said ruefully.
“You see the droves of people coming in trying to find a free seat. It’s been jammers every game and it’s great to see.”

Devaney damaged knee ligaments in a tackle against Bray Wanderers in the final game of pre-season.
The third-placed Gypsies have been flying in the meantime and Devaney doesn’t want to be the forgotten man.
“I was back training last week,” he said. “It’s been frustrating watching the boys from the stand.
“We’ve lots of competition for places but I’m available for selection again. I enjoyed last season and even though I had other offers I wanted to stay here.”
Devaney is studying physical therapy and dogged by injuries over his career, jokes about reaching the self diagnosing stage.
“I know my stuff! I’ve experience of injuries and I’d like to work in that area.”
