Kevin de Bruyne's agent addresses Man City transfer rumours amid UEFA appeal

Kevin de Bruyne's agent insists the Manchester City playmaker has no plans to leave the Etihad, as the club await the verdict of their appeal against UEFA's two year ban from the Champions League.

City took their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and will learn their fate next week. If the UEFA sanctions stand, there has been talk that City's best players may look to leave the club in search of Champions League football - De Bruyne included.

However, De Bruyne's agent Patrick De Koster has offered an update on De Bruyne's mindset regarding the transfer rumours doing the rounds, saying the Belgian is happy at City.

"At the moment he is not at all busy with that," De Koster told Sporza.

"He still has a three-year contract with a team that belongs to the world top. In a club and a city where Kevin feels good and appreciated. There will be many people who find this very woolly, but he's not on a transfer. "

De Koster admitted there is interest in De Bruyne, but said that comes with the territory of being one of the world's best players.

He continued: "There is always an informal interest for a good player in the football world. Whether this is KDB or Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo or Griezmann.

"If everything I read in the papers were correct, then I need a 48-hour watch and I should be all over the world at the same time. I can declare in good conscience here and even swear on my children's head that everything I read is 90 per cent b-------."

Reflecting on De Bruyne's form this season - and that of City - De Koster said he feels City will still have a successful season if they can win the FA Cup and Champions League.

He said: "You play in the strongest league in the world and it is not easy to just win the title every year. That is not possible. Liverpool have a 20 point lead and there is a reason for that, that is just a very strong team. "

"Kevin wants to end the season with one or one cups. They already have the League Cup and they are still participating for the FA Cup.

"If all these prizes are won, no one will complain about the Manchester City season, I think.

"We have had regular conversations with each other during this period. He has enjoyed his wife, his children, the pregnancy and the third child coming. He is completely sheltered."
