Kevin De Bruyne addresses Man City contract situation

Kevin De Bruyne says he is open to signing a new contract with Manchester City.

The Belgium international still has two-and-a-half years to run on his current contract at the Etihad. However, it has been reported that City are ready to offer the 29-year-old an improved deal.

That is not something De Bruyne would be opposed to, though he says no discussions have taken place as yet.

Speaking ahead of Belgium's Nations League clash with England at Wembley on Sunday, he said : "I am very happy at the club. I have not spoken once to the club so I don't know why people are saying I have already agreed to something.

"I always told everybody I am really happy at the club and I feel comfortable, so if the people at the club want to talk to me I am open to that and we will see what happens. But at the moment nothing has happened, so I just get on with the way it goes."

De Bruyne has been at City since joining from Wolfsburg in a £55million deal in the summer of 2015. The midfielder has won two Premier League titles, four League Cups and the FA Cup during his time at the club.
