Kevin De Bruyne names his favourite Man City assist

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has selected his favourite assist for Manchester City in the Premier League.

The Belgian international has contributed to plenty of important goals for City, including the last-minute assist for Gabriel Jesus against Southampton that saw Pep Guardiola's side hit the 100-point mark.

However, when quizzed on his goal contributions, De Bruyne overlooked that assist despite the importance of it, and selected two assists that are similar to one another as his overall favourite.

“I think I have to choose between the one I did against Stoke for Leroy [Sane] or the one this year against Aston Villa for Gabriel [Jesus]. I think they are almost similar, maybe the one for Gabriel because I had to do it at full speed," he told Sky Sports.

“It’s a similar pass because you have to bend it around players but at Villa, I was more in a stride and that makes it really difficult.”

De Bruyne was also asked whether he prefers getting assists to scoring goals and explained his stance on the two important contributions.

“I can enjoy both really. I get the same feeling with an assist as sometimes I feel that the work you can do as a creative player, you help the attacking player score an easy goal so sometimes the assist can be so good or creative, I get the same feeling as scoring a goal.

“It feels like you make it easier for the striker to score and it’s my job. I get enough satisfaction from doing that stuff.”
