Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling guide Man City to victory over Yokohama in pre-season friendly

Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling were on target as Manchester City cruised to a 3-1 win over J1 League outfit Yokohama F Marinos.

The Belgian thundered home the opener from close range early on before Keita Endo equalised shortly after.

But goals from Sterling and striker Lukas Nmecha handed Man City another victory in the Far East as they conclude their preparations ahead of the new Premier League season.

City's opener was quickly cancelled out as Yokohama responded immediately.

Bravo twice saved as the hosts broke into the City box but the Chilean could do nothing about the second rebound as Endo turned in from close range.

Bernardo Silva went close to restoring City's advantage when he shot narrowly over following a free-kick awarded for a foul on Leroy Sane by the Yokohama goalkeeper.

The second was not long in coming, however, with Raheem Sterling racing onto a fine throughball from De Bruyne and finishing coolly, making it 2-1 at half-time.

David Silva almost added a third early in the second half but his glancing header from Kyle Walker's cross was deflected wide. Sterling rifled in a shot from a Walker pull-back but the strike was disallowed for offside following a VAR consultation.

Young striker Nmecha then added a third in stoppage time to round off a comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola's side.
