Kevin Clifton 's second wife has said that she took an overdose over the way he ended their marriage.
Clare Craze, who split from the Strictly Come Dancing professional before they divorced in 2013, says she was so distraught over the breakdown of their relationship that she downed her anxiety pills.
The 39-year-old says she begged Kevin, 36, to take her back, and spent a week trying to convince him to meet up with her so she could ask him to stay.
But she said she was left "shaking" and "in tears" when Kevin got up and left.
She told The Sun : "During that week I didn’t eat or sleep. My mother was so worried about me she took me to the doctor. It felt like all hope from my life had gone — it was overwhelming.

"Afterwards, I went to a bar and took a load of anxiety pills with another large glass of wine.
"My memory gets hazy then but my father told me afterwards I was found near Waterloo Bridge by passers-by who called an ambulance. I woke up in hospital on a drip."
Clare said that a fortnight earlier, she'd been to see Kevin's Burn The Floor stage show, which he is currently reprising, in London's West End.
She says she headed to a bar where a private party was being held afterwards but that Kevin left her waiting at the door for 45 minutes.
She claimed he was acting strangely and "irritable".
Clare, who is also a professional dancer, said she lost two stone after the split and flew out LA to stay with a friend in an attempt to get over her heartache.
She had met Kevin in 2005 and married him in Essex in 2007.
She said they "fell in love instantly" and their wedding was the happiest day of her life.
Kevin went on to marry fellow Strictly pro Karen in 2015.
They confirmed their split in March 2018 and Kevin is now said to be dating Stacey Dooley, who he won the show alongside last year.

Neither of them have confirmed the relationship, but they haven't denied it either.
Stacey's ex, Sam Tucknott, has said that he saw flirty messages from Kevin on Stacey's phone while they were still together, but she reportedly told him nothing happened until after they had split.
