Kevin Clifton has severed his final connection with ex Karen Clifton in the wake of his now-public romance with Stacey Dooley.
Strictly Come Dancing professional - branded a snake by Stacey's wounded ex after their blossoming relationship came to light - has finally ended his business association with estranged wife Karen.
He will no longer serve as director of their joint dance school the Cliftons Dance Academy, having quit after two years heading up the family-run business.
"Karen has long been distancing herself from Kevin after his romance with Stacey went public. She was annoyed at the time because he'd insisted they were just pals," a source told the Sun.
"Now that Kevin has left the business as a director, she is free to move on from him professionally."
It means Karen - who will be going back to Strictly this autumn under her maiden name, Karen Hauer - will now be solely in charge of the company, the newspaper reports.
Kevin and Karen's three-year marriage broke down in 2018 and he set tongues wagging in that year's Strictly with his chemistry with celebrity partner Stacey.
The pair went on to win the BBC series and in March this year it emerged they'd been dating for several weeks.
Stacey is now thought to have moved in with three-times-married Kevin after splitting from her ex and moving out of their shared flat in Brighton.
An insider said last month: "Stacey needed somewhere else to live. Kevin has been really relaxed about letting her stay and so far it’s working really well.
"Stacey is not sure whether she’ll stay for good but for now it’s a good place for her to set up base."
As yet, no announcements have been made about this year's Strictly Come Dancing professional line-up - as Kevin may well face the axe for his dalliance with a contestant.
