Although the 22-year-old wasn't on the scoresheet on Sunday he certainly played his part in Everton's competent victory over Unai Emery's Champions League chasers.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's importance to Marco Silva grows further as Everton star continues to prove invaluable

Campbell, who scored 45 goals in his time at Goodison Park, was pitchside after the clash speaking with Astro SuperSport.

When asked to give the Blues' striker some advice the 49-year-old said: "What I would say to Dominic is; you've got everything. You can stretch the pitch that way, you're very good holding it up.

"But you know when you lay it off get in that box Dominic!

"There's times when you are kind of watching the play, get in that box because that's where you are going to make your mark!"

Should Phil Jagielka have an Everton future beyond this season?

Calvert-Lewin seemed grateful for the Everton icon's advice as he responded: "I think there's times where it is decision-making, sometimes I decide to try and get across the front and sometimes I decide to stay on the edge of the box.

"It is that feeling you get in the moment. I think maybe if I just keep getting across the front posts sooner or later I'll get a tap-in like you say.

"It is something I am working on and I am improving on just that decision-making on how I can score more goals."

Everton provide Yerry Mina injury update as Marco Silva clears up Morgan Schneiderlin omission

The 22-year-old has scored six goals in the Premier League this season.

With five games left to play - including big fixtures with Manchester United and Tottenham - Calvert-Lewin is eager to continue his strong end to the campaign.
