Thai New Year celebrations get underway this week - and a UK snack manufacturer is marking the occasion with a special product.
The event, known as Songkran, runs from April 13-15 and crisp firm Kettle Chips hopes its Thai Sweet Chilli variety will be the perfect accompaniment to any celebrations.
Enveloped with tamari soy sauce, ginger, star anise, coriander and bold chilli, the exotic spices create a fiery and authentic flavour to create a gentle sweetness.
The seasoning has already been given the thumbs-up in consumer taste tests. Unlike competitor brands, the rich flavour comes from using only vegan, high-quality and real food ingredients that are famous throughout authentic Thai recipes and are completely gluten-free.

Songkran is Thailand’s most famous festival. An important event on the Buddhist calendar, the water festival marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year.
The name Songkran comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘passing’ or ‘approaching’.
The first day of the festival is an exuberant celebration with processions of Buddha images taking place throughout the country.
It is mostly celebrated by throwing of water, which originates from an ancient tradition where water is poured on Buddha images and on the hands of Buddhist monks as a mark of respect.
