Kesha suffers devastating haemorrhaged vocal cord in the middle of live show

Kesha has announced she suffered a haemorrhaged vocal cord as she performed at a tribute concert for the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The TiK ToK singer, 35, said the injury happened when she attempted to "distract" fans from an outfit mishap during Tuesday night's show in Los Angeles.

Taking to Instagram the next day, Kesha shared a picture of the moment the injury happened. She wrote: "So. in the middle of my wardrobe malfunction I decided to distract everyone from my titties falling out by singing rly. Loud.

"And today I found out I hemorrhaged one of my vocal chords. Soooo. I’m posting all the pics from the f***ing moment bc. This was quite a moment."

In the snap, the singer wore a silver sequined cape and skirt which she paired with a sparkly bodysuit.

When she initially stepped out on stage, Kesha has also been wearing a sparkly triangle bra, which apparently snapped off mid-performance.

Fans rushed to the comments to praise Kesha for carrying on with her performance, while others wished her a quick recovery.

One person wrote: "That’s how u KNOW it was a legendary performance. Literally giving it everything."

Another said: "Legend either way love you my hero. I'm so so so sorry your voice isn't doing well. I hope you drink lots of tea & honey sending you a huge hug."

A third fan wrote: "Oh no get better soon queen," while another added: "Wishing u a speedy recovery queen of singing rlly loudly."

Despite her injury, Kesha told fans during the concert that her tribute performance to Taylor felt "special" for her.

"I feel really special to be here with all of you guys, because Taylor meant something different to each and every one of us," she said.

Kesha added: "He was a f***ing hero. He was a f***ing icon. He was a friend, he was a father, he was a husband. And for tonight, I just want to say, Taylor, you're going to live with us for f***ing ever."

As well as Kesha, the rest of the Foo Fighters, Pink, Alanis Morissette, Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Travis Barker, Queen, Nancy Wilson, Wolfgang Van Halen, and Dave Chappelle also performed on the night.

Taylor died unexpectedly on March 25. He was just 50 years old.

The Foo Fighters were on tour in South America and about to perform at a festival in Colombia when Hawkins reportedly complained of chest pains and died soon afterwards.
